Hi, this is Christa, Editor-in-Chief for this new social network? platform? I don’t care what we call it; it’s for small-bizzers, side-hustlers, and entrepreneur-istas to connect. I’ll be thrilled if you get questions answered or are inspired by ideas and tips and I’ll be over the frickin’ asteroid belt (between Mars and Jupiter) if you make friends and partnerships!

Here’s me:

Background: 25 years of marketing copywriting, mostly in the video game space. I’m 56 and have three kids, two of whom are grown up and one is still a tax exemption ;).

Full-time: You’re looking at it–Pretty Good Social
Side-Hustle: Writing mystery novels My author page
Other: I’d like to make a curated sticker-subscription box. I also cross-stitch, and make weird felt things.

Editor-In-Chief of Pretty Good Social. My side-hustle is writing mystery novels. I've been a copywriter, community manager, assistant editor, student at many different institutions, plus I've been an au pair and a fast-food worker and I even owned a used bookstore for a hot minute. Mom of three, pet mom of five, wife of one.

  • Greetings and Salutations! My name is Dana and I am Christa's husband, a retired US Marine, Washington Real Estate agent, little league umpire, and Table Top Role Playing Game Player. :).

  • Hello! I'm Callahan, a 29-year-old born and raised Washingtonian (Go M's!). I work from home mostly doing customer service and order processing. I enjoy a nice crisp day with a cup of tea, a crackling fire, a good book (or a fun Switch game), and a warm puppy in my lap. I have a little chicken farm and love gardening. Get at me if you need some book recommendations or farm fresh eggs! :P

  • Hey y'all, I'm Mindy. I'm from Bountiful, Utah, but I live in Saint Louis Missouri now with my 2 cats and my new boyfriend Ronley Bonely Jones.

He's actually the skeleton inhabiting my front window for a few more days of my favorite season.

I'm disabled, which means I have a full time job taking care of my health, but disability leaves some gaps, so I've started cleaning houses, when I can. I've never cleaned house professionally, so it's interesting seeing a house from a different perspective.

I love you. That's the most important thing I have to say. And I know you don't know me, but if you listen for it, you can hear my deep love for you.  Pass it on!

  • I'm Bernie. Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, but now live just south of there in Bellevue. I'm a huge hockey fan, mainly of my UNO Mavericks (especially since I'm a student and can get in the games for free), and deeply invested in the Pittsburgh Penguins (not as big a fan since they traded my favorite player, who also played here in town for UNO). I was in the cybersecurity field for over 18 years before finding myself having to start my career and education over.

I have two grown sons who still live at home (one is a UNO alum, and the other is in his senior year at UNO). My youngest son decided, after purchasing a hearse last summer, to start a small pop-up business out of the back of it. He sells crystals at farmers' markets and other similar events. It definitely fits his character, as he was born near Halloween and was a big purchaser of crystals before starting his business.

  • Hi, I’m Howard.  Formerly of Seattle, now living in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.  During the day, I am a mild-mannered trainer for DonorPerfect, an online donor-tracking app for the non-profit sector. In the past, I had made the circuit of Seattle-area tech giants (and not-so-giants).  I currently run an online group called Classic Horror Theater that was born out of the COVID quarantine.  We get together online on Saturdays to watch old horror movie double features.

My side hustle, which I am just starting up (after a couple of false starts), is as the curator of Nocturna Obscura—a lifestyle website and digital sanctum devoted to a darker aesthetic: design, fashion, gardening, philosophy, and the occasional ghost story. Think of it as Better Homes and Gardens if it slept in a crypt; an Addams Family Circle, if you will.

I’m here to share the strange joy of building a small business steeped in darkness and good taste—and to learn from others starting their own (either by daylight or moonlight).

  • Hi everybody, nice to meet you. My name is Katie. I've lived in Washington state most of my life and now I live in a small community in north central Washington called Stehekin. I get to be this lovely town's postmaster.
I have worked in business roles most of my working life. My only paying side hustle has been pet or house sitting which I actually do love to do. I also like to do stand up comedy but I don't invest much time into it or any other artistic endeavors that I would just love to do for fun or $.
